LifeBot, LLC announced today that its new LifeBot 5 telemedicine systems will be premiered at the national meeting of the American Telemedicine Association May 5th through the 7th.
Phoenix, AZ, USA April 8, 2013 : LifeBot, LLC announced that it deployed its new advanced telemedicine system called the LifeBot 5. Commercially available, the systems will be formally introduced at the national meeting of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) May 5-7 in Austin, Texas. Units will be on-hand for live use or demonstration in exhibit number 426.
For 18 years, the ATA Annual International Meeting & Trade Show has been the premier forum for healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs in the telemedicine, telehealth and mHealth space.
With over 6000 projected attendees, the ATA 2013 will be the largest meeting ever, with even more presentations, more exhibits and more networking opportunities. The world-class, peer reviewed program includes 500 educational sessions and posters, highlighting the latest innovations, applications and delivery models in telemedicine.
The new LifeBot 5 promises to revolutionize the way remote care is delivered and reduce both the risks and costs of deploying telemedicine systems in clinic-to-hospital, hospital-to-hospital and hospital-to-ambulance communications.
Faster Deployment: Affordable, Modular and Scalable
The base collaboration LifeBot 5 is very affordable, beginning under $20,000. The system costs less than half of most existing telemedicine solutions that have many less critical features. Being portable, the LifeBot 5 can be installed instantly, putting life-saving telemedicine systems on the fast-track to full scaled deployment.
Successfully Deployed : Gearing Up Production
LifeBot has successfully deployed the first LifeBot 5 systems. According to CEO, Roger Heath, "Demand is high and we are currently in the process of gearing up production to meet this demand. Significant advancements have been made to the base software and hardware component structures, adding many new features to the original LifeBot DREAMS™ system." LifeBot will be releasing details on these deployments soon.
LifeBot acquired the exclusive world-wide license to DREAMS™ (Disaster Relief and Emergency Medical Services) and has reduced the system to a miniaturized lightweight portable unit that may be used anywhere at anytime. The original system was developed under DOD grants of $14 million from the Telemedicine and Technology Research Center (TATRC) and U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC).
LifeBot 5 : The Future of Telemedicine
Unlike existing instruments, the LifeBot 5 is modular in construction so it may be readily adapted to new technologies or be easily upgraded as critical needs arise. LifeBot is taking specific steps to make the system even smaller and lighter. According to LifeBot CEO, Roger Lee Heath, "This is the first generation of portable systems designs that will rapidly evolve. The LifeBot 5 is already setting new standards for advancing remote care in the industry."
